Caroline McGraw

Caroline McGraw is the author of I Was a Stranger to Beauty. It’s the story of her relationship with her brother, Willie, who has autism. A would-be childhood paleontologist turned storyteller, Caroline blogs about loving and caring for people with disabilities at A Wish Come Clear, serves as a columnist and features writer for Autism After 16, and works as a copywriter for nonprofits and small businesses with a special-needs support focus. An honors graduate of Vassar College, Caroline lives and works in Alabama with her husband. In gratitude for the vital work of L’Arche, an international, faith-based non-profit that creates homes where people with and without intellectual disabilities share life together, 5 percent of the first month’s total sales of I Was a Stranger to Beauty will be donated to the L’Arche Greater Washington, D.C. community.
