As remarkable a performer as Adam Levy is, he’s equally as gifted as a speaker. When given a chance to do both, he’s extraordinary. The students at the University of St. Thomas will find out for themselves next Monday as Levy will be on campus to perform songs off his record Naubinway and speak about mental health and understanding signs of suicide. Adam’s a veteran at these campus performances. To watch him in action at the University of Minnesota and McNally Smith College of Music, just go here and here. You’ll see how thoughtfully he speaks about losing his son Daniel to suicide, and the care he gives in providing strategies for people dealing with mental illness. Audiences leave his performances feeling a little bit less alone and that’s a wonderful thing.
